Tallyhouse is run by Alexander Novikov. Using it means accepting what is below. It is deliberately short. Questions: privacy@tallyhouse.net.
A dashboard that reads your bank and brokerage accounts through Lunchflow and sorts your spending into categories, using keyword rules you control and an AI review. It only ever reads your accounts; it cannot move money.
Categories come from keyword matching and a language model, and both get things wrong. A miscategorised transaction moves real money between totals. Foreign amounts are converted at historical reference rates, and refunds are matched to purchases by a heuristic that can mispair them.
Treat everything here as a convenient view, not a source of truth. It is not financial, tax or accounting advice. Check anything that matters against your bank or your accountant before relying on it.
Tallyhouse itself is free. It runs on API keys you supply, and those are billed to you by the companies that issue them. Lunchflow charges its own subscription.
The AI review is optional: it only runs if you put an OpenAI key on your account, and setup does not require one. If you do, it is billed by OpenAI to that key automatically — finishing setup starts a pass over however many months you chose there, and new transactions are reviewed as they arrive. Those charges are your responsibility. Settings → AI review spend shows a running total, and Settings → API keys lets you remove the key at any time, which stops it.
Keep your sign-in and your API keys to yourself. Please do not load other people's financial data without their knowledge, and do not attack, overload or try to break the service — it runs on one small server shared by everyone using it.
This is a personal project, provided as-is, with no promise that it will be available, correct, or maintained. Capacity is deliberately limited, so signups may be closed. It may change or shut down; if it is shutting down I will give as much notice as I reasonably can. Settings → Export all data gives you everything as one file, and keeping your own copy is a good idea.
You can delete your account whenever you like in Settings → Account, which erases it and everything attached to it. I may suspend or remove an account that is breaking these terms or putting the service at risk.
